Can a Pomeranian become a Service Dog?

Any Canine of quality, intelligence, proper drives, willingness, being social; typically a sound dog in disposition, and physical structure, in general, can become a Service Dog.

We Do Not train our Pomeranian puppies to become a Service Dog as we are retired, however there are many links on this page of places where you can look to have one of our Pomeranian puppies trained, and also the Handler trained with the puppy.

We do some preliminary work with all Service Dog Puppies, as a good foundation of what is required to advance into becoming a Service Dog.

Please do your due diligence when researching a training facility/company, to train you &/Or your puppy.

BADGE OF LIFE CANADA

The first step you need to take is with your own doctor - you will require a doctors note stating that you require the assistance of a service dog for personal medical purposes.

Any service dog organization you apply to will require this as well in their application process.

The letter will also be requested if you have to fly etc along with your service dog qualification and vaccinations.

PLEASE NOTE: Some non-profits supply only their own dogs that have been trained by the organization.  While other non-profits will screen your own dog and do the training with you that way for certification.
